Overview

The Research Organization at Alnylam is looking to appoint a Scientist within the Research Analytics team. This role, part of the RNAi discovery group, will be instrumental in advancing the understanding of RNAi therapeutics. Our Research Analytics team is dedicated to deepening insights into siRNA and siRNA-conjugates through a comprehensive analytical framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and conduct in vivo and in vitro studies to assess the activity, stability, and distribution of siRNAs and siRNA-conjugates.
  • Identify and evaluate new analytical methods to enhance the sensitivity and detection capabilities of siRNA treatments.
  • Assist in establishing a versatile analytical lab to facilitate expansion into novel chemical domains.
  • Collaborate with the Early Development team to optimize DMPK techniques and ensure seamless method transfer.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings and communicate vital information to Research & Development stakeholders.
  • Effectively communicate results to key internal teams.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. (0-3 years), Masters (3-6 years), or BS (7-10 years) in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in working with LCMS Instrumentation and optimizing LCMS methods for complex biological inquiries.
  • Broad experience in various analytical techniques, including HPLC, MS, PAGE, WB, and more.
  • Deep knowledge of oligonucleotide therapeutics or peptide/protein therapeutics with a focus on analytics.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills with a focus on collaboration and attention to detail.
