Job Description:
The PPD clinical research business of Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Scientist II for our Middleton, Wisconsin Extractables and Leachables team. This position involves conducting sample analysis for pharmaceutical products in development using High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) in our state-of-the-art laboratory.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (Life Sciences degree preferred) or equivalent
- Relevant formal academic or vocational qualification
- Experience in a similar role, varying with scientist levels
- Knowledge of analytical instrumentation, SOPs, and regulatory guidelines
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities:
- Conduct complex analysis under general supervision
- Perform sample preparation and analysis procedures
- Review and compile results against SOP acceptance criteria
- Adhere to regulatory guidelines and safety standards
Working Environment:
Able to communicate effectively, lift objects up to 25 pounds, work in non-traditional environments, and handle multiple projects under pressure.
