Job Posting: Scientist (Large Scale Enzymes and Proteins)
Location: St. Louis, Missouri
Your Role
As a Scientist with MilliporeSigma in St. Louis, Missouri, your primary responsibility is to support and troubleshoot our large-scale Enzymes and Proteins product lines. You will collaborate with other team members across various functions to ensure successful manufacturing and investigate process issues. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining quality standards and implementing process improvements.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Safely perform operations to meet quality expectations
- Conduct multi-disciplined processes and assays
- Support lab functions and maintain equipment
- Communicate operational status and deviations to supervisor.
- Participate in quality audits and process improvements
- Perform analytical evaluations and troubleshooting
Physical Attributes
- Wearing personal protective equipment
- Lifting and pushing objects up to 50 pounds
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge in chemistry or biochemistry
- Experience in protein extraction and purification
- Familiarity with laboratory instruments and analytical techniques
- Strong communication, mechanical, and troubleshooting skills
