Purpose Statement
Performs functions associated with cGMP manufacturing operations within the biologics production facility, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, and final materials.
Major Responsibilities
- Perform functions associated with cGMP manufacturing operations within the biologics production facility.
- Use sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data for on-line adjustments.
- Responsible for cell culture, buffer/media preparation, chromatography, filtration, and sampling.
- Assign tasks within the shift team to other biotechnologists.
- Assist Supervisor in planning and leading area activities.
- Involved in regulatory/internal audits and inspections.
- Initiate Demand Work Order and drive resolution of anomalous events.
- Set a positive team environment and nurture company culture.
- Acting Supervisor when Supervisor is unavailable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of experience in Biologics Production facility.
- Experience in area/stream-specific tasks.
- Upstream: Experience in cell culture.
- Central Services: Experience in glass washer/autoclave operation, sampling, weighing, and Buffer/media preparation.
- Shift work required.
