To support that challenge, the Environmental Safety team is currently seeking a Product Safety Bioinformatics Intern in Greensboro, NC.

Duration: May 2022 – August 2022
Accountabilities
- Analyze protein sequence data to identify and compare molecular target sites
- Perform molecular docking experiments with active ingredients and protein structures
- Validate docking models with high-throughput screening data
Education & Experience:
- Student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline such as, but not limited to, Biology, Molecular Biology, Structural Biology, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Data Science or other science discipline
- Prefer a student with a current Junior or Senior standing and 3.5 or higher
- Fluent in English
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
Preferred Requirements:
- Eagerness to learn and contribute
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong programming skills in R or Python
- Communication-The ability to communicate information well (both written and spoken) is highly desired in this position
- Collaboration-The ability to work with individuals who come from diverse backgrounds
